From his Gospel roots, music and faith has always been Joseff's passion and drive to succeed as a professional performer and recording artist. Joseff McKenneth Goodwin, born September 14, was raised in the small city of Santee, South Carolina by his then-single mother and three sisters. Joseff gained a special interest for singing at a very early age! At the age of 16, on a mission to perfect his craft, he began singing for school, church, weddings, and many community service events. Very quickly other performing opportunities presented themselves.
In 2007, while enrolled in Claflin University's music program in South Carolina, Joseff opened for R&B/Soul sensation Dave Hollister, Gospel recording artists William Murphy III, Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson, and Byron Cage. That same year, he was a finalist on MTV’s 4th season of P. Diddy’s “Making the Band”. In 2008, Joseff shared the stage with jazz/gospel artist Kim Burrell. He, then continued his music studies at New York University until 2009. He made his Off-Broadway debut in February 2011.
His very first recording project (available on iTunes under "Joseff Goodwin") was released June 2012. Music critics have described him as one of the most unique, fresh and thrilling artists to look out for. With his silky, rich, and vibrant voice, he riffs sensuously on songs with a range, an edge, a beauty and a commanding dignity not seen since the glory days of soulful pop, r&b, and gospel. If Joseff is indeed headed for stardom, his music is an exciting preview of coming attractions! As of 2015, Joseff is currently in gear to release new music, with his current inspirational single "All My Help" blazing the trail! It is available for listen and MP3 download to the right of this page --->
JOSEFF is currently performing select dates with the Head Over Heels/Project Madison Band for private corporate/wedding events throughout the New York City area.

"All My Help" is purely inspirational and motivational and a song that is closest to my heart! The first half of the song is taken from the bible verse, Isaiah 40:31, that I loved hearing my mother sing growing up as a little boy in church! The verse explains that there is strength to endure hardship, pain, and suffering when we wait on, acknowledge, and honor the spirit of God. Then, as the tempo changes for the second half, the song drives home the point that God, through His love, is ingeniously weaving our circumstances into His divine plan to turn them into something good if we just trust the process! Simply...His spirit is our help in time of need! -Joseff
